Yesterday morning, we had the privilege of visiting the Fairview Elementary Student Council, who proudly presented Good News Habitat for Humanity with a $125 donation. These students worked hard to raise the funds and chose to give back to Habitat, showing compassion and leadership well beyond their years.
During our time together, the students asked thoughtful questions about how Habitat builds homes, what goes into construction, and how their donation will make a difference. Their curiosity and excitement reminded us that the mission of Habitat is about more than just bricks and mortar, it’s about inspiring the next generation to care for their community.
We also presented the council with a Certificate of Appreciation to celebrate their generosity. This gift is especially meaningful as our next partner family home will be built right in the Fairview neighborhood, making their support a direct investment in their own community and neighbors.
We are deeply grateful to the Fairview students and staff for their kindness and commitment to service. Their example shows that every act of giving, no matter the size, has the power to build hope and strengthen families.
